This is the transceiver that is installed in our radio room at Burke Medical Center. The Columbia County Emergency Management Agency has two of these transceivers in their amateur radio station.
The IC-7100 operates on all HF shortwave frequencies, 50MHZ, 144MHZ and 440 MHz with these emissions: DSTAR, LSB, USB, FM, AM, RTTY, CW (Morse code) and any of the modern digital modes you can think of!
Necessary extras… *For home use, the IC-7100 will require the use of:
- an external wire antenna (I can help you make your own for about $50)
- tuner – $85 manual tuner; $160 automatic tuner
- 13.7V, 25-watt continuous power supply. I use an $85 25-watt continuous power supply with my home Icom 13.7V, 22-amp transceiver.
